A Vision of Equity —”Oral Health for All”
Founded in 2016, OHPF is a registered Section 8 non-profit organization committed to removing the critically-relevant barriers preventing people rural or semi-urban Rajasthan from (often) accessing quality dental care. While most of the work is done out of sites in Jaipur and Balotra, the organization aims to make oral health accessible, affordable, and educational for all strata of society.
With a philosophy of “Oral Health for All,” OHPF concentrates equally on curative and preventive dental care, providing services to individuals living in the most isolated villages, government schools, and urban slums people who would never visit the dentist in their lives.

- Smile Express- Dental Care with a Van
One of the foundation’s most brilliant innovation is Smile Express, o fully equipped mobile dental van designed to deliver professional dental treatment to people’s doorsteps whether they are a government school or remote village,
The Dental van is fitted with:
- New semi-electric dental chairs
- X-ray diagnosis systems
- Suction and sterilisation supply
- Power sources allowing off-grid activity
The Smile Express hybrid model is complemented by portable dental setups for delivery of dental treatment in schools, anganwadi’s and community halls during indoor visits.
The Smile Express mobile service has conducted hundreds of camps servicing tens of thousands of beneficiaries of which many have had their first dental check-up.
- The Brush Bank Initiative: Creating Healthy Habits
Healthy habits are the backbone to good oral health, so the OHPF’s Brush Bank initiative aims to work that through from the first day. In the initiative, toothbrushes and toothpaste are given to children living in slum communities and low-cost schools, as well as fun and colourful interactive sessions to build awareness around oral hygiene.
Children, under the guidance of volunteers and dental professionals, will learn how to brush properly, the importance of oral hygiene and the impact of food and tobacco use. The initiative is making a very welcome difference to oral health outcomes and is building a generation that is slowly becoming self-aware with the importance of looking after themselves.
- Reach the Unreachable
OHPF targets largely understudied demographics described as greater unserved population groups by public health systems targets which may include:
- Rural regions Barmer, Jalore, Pali, Bikaner, Jodhpur
- Urban slums in Jaipur
- Tribal groups
- Low cost bracket
To help build sustainable healthcare delivery framework to partner effectively with low-income groups, OHPF collaborates on a diverse array of projects that emphasize participatory community engagement initiatives to engage; parents, school leaders and local government.

As part of preventative services and oral examination and oral hygiene education of OHPF also • Oral cancer
These services are particularly vital within areas of high tobacco use and little awareness of oral cancers, which is a common yet preventable disease in India.

Leadership and credibility
OHPF is courageously led by Dr. Mukesh Panwar, a public health specialist with international experience in Public Health with organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO) and Piramal Swasthya. Along with Dr Panwar’s leadership, He has assembled a team of professionals, that are committed to long-term change.
The NGO is also:

Vision of the future
OHPF is committed to a future where clinical dental care is mobile, and accessible in every district in Rajasthan. Their immediate vision is:
- grow the fleet for Smile Express mobile clinics
- partner with the state education team
- digitize patient record for long-term tracking on patients
- grow the Brush Bank Initiative across all government schools in Rajasthan.
